Anomia is the inability to remember everyday objects.
The game startswith just a deck in the middle. Every turn, a player draws a card and places it face up on their stack of previously drawn cards by clicking on the deck. Each card has a symbol and a category on it. This cycle continues until two players have the same symbol on the card at the top of their stack: the two players now face off! Players cannot draw more cards until the face-off is resolved.
During a face-off, the two players in the face-off will attempt to blurt out something that fits into the category of the other's player's top card as fast as possible. The same thing cannot be used twice, even for a different category. Whoever is faster can press their win button, increasing their points by 1 and removing the opponent's top card. Note that removing the top card may reveal another card, cascading into another face-off.
Wildcards, unlike regular cards, have no categories and 2 different symbols. When a wildcard is drawn, the players with those 2 symbols on their top cards immediately face off. The wildcard is then discarded and not added to any stack.
The game ends when there are no more cards to draw and no more face-offs left, and whoever has the most points wins the game!
